Hangman Page Reportedly No Longer Kenny Omega’s Planned Opponent For All Out
July 30, 2021It looks like a change has been made in AEW.
AEW has been planting the seeds that a big match they were building to was Hangman Page challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title. Page is one of the most protected wrestlers in the company when it comes to not being beaten. He was the number one ranked wrestler going into Double or Nothing and then he lost one match to Brian Cage and that bumped him down. Then he was number one ranked this week and he got a chance to earn a title shot, yet he failed in doing so. Now it is being reported that Hangman is not the plan for Omega at All Out in September.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that Hangman is no longer the plan for Kenny Omega at All Out. The way that was written indicated that Meltzer was under the impression that the plan at one time was Omega versus Page.
Meltzer also goes on to state that the 10-Man tag team elimination match was designed to “shock people” with most fans assuming Page and his team would win leading to the big match at All Out that AEW had been teasing for the better part of the last year.
It was not mentioned who could be challenging Kenny Omega on September 5th for the AEW world Title at All Out in Chicago. If we do hear anything else on Omega’s match at All Out, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
