Grudge Match Set For Next Week’s NXT

Grudge Match Set For Next Week’s NXT

January 23, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

Two former best friends go to blows next week.

Back at NXT Takeover: WarGames we saw Dakota Kai attack her best friend Tegan Nox instead of entering into the War Games cage. After the brutal attack, we did not see Nox on television for over a month. She then returned last week in the number on contenders battle royal where Kai came down and eliminated Nox.

Tonight on NXT, Kai said she attacked Nox at WarGames because Nox never stood up for her and she was overlooked for the WarGames team. Nox then said when she saw that Dakota was supposed to be in the battle royal last week she made she was ready to return for it so she could eliminate Kai and then Kai did not participate in the match. The two will finally go to blow when the former best friends meet in the ring next week.

Best friends turned bitter rivals Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai will clash for the first time next Wednesday on WWE NXT.

The bad blood can be traced back to the first-ever Women’s WarGames Match at NXT TakeOver this past November, when Kai turned her back on Nox, viciously attacking her friend by targeting Nox’s injured knee.

Kai’s torment of her former friend did not stop there. When Nox returned from the injuries Kai inflicted during a No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal on Jan. 15, Kai arrived to knock Nox out of the ring, costing her a chance to challenge for the NXT Championship.

But now, there will be nothing stopping the two former best friends from taking out their frustrations on each other. Who will stand tall? Find out next Wednesday on WWE NXT, live at 8/7 C on USA Network!

Also announced for net week’s NXT will be the finals of the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic when James Drake and James Gibson battle Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne.

NXT comes to us every Wednesday night at 8pm ET/5pm PT live on the USA Network.
