Top star may have signed a new deal.

This year has been a big year for contracts in the world of pro wrestling. We have heard of a number of WWE deals that came up with some no longer in the company and some signing a new deal. Now we have news of a former World Champion who may have signed a new contract with WWE.

According to a new report from Fightful, they state that former WWE World Champion Randy Orton may have signed a new deal with WWE that keeps him there or the next five years. Orton last signed a contract in 2019 that was said to be up at the end of this year. Injury time could have been added to Orton’s current deal, but working out a new deal with how WWE operates now was the better option for both parties.

Fightful notes that they did reach out to WWE and Randy Orton to full confirm the signing but did not get an official statement. They did hear from one higher up that stated,

β€œnot confirming that the did sign a new deal, but the guaranteed money associated with contracts now is a drastic shift from what it was in 2019. There have been changes to our live event schedule, touring, international dates, media obligations, merchandise and social media that would be much more fair to just reach a new deal in many situations.”

With Randy Orton singing a new five-year deal that keeps him locked in with WWE till 2029.
