AEW has added a new name to the production side.

Over the last year, we have heard of a number of new names working backstage in All Elite Wrestling. The latest name has worked for both WWE and TNA, most recently being one of the more powerful people backstage in TNA.

According to PWInsider, Josh Mathews is now working backstage in AEW. The report states that Mathews has been working in the production truck as of late. He has been helping to facilitate between the production team and the Coaches/Producers.

Josh Mathews has been in the pro wrestling world since 2001, when he was a contestant on the original season of WWE Tough Enough. He made it to the finals but did not win. Yet WWE saw something in him and hired him as a backstage interviewer and then transitioned him to commentary.

Mathews moved to TNA in 2014, working in the Nashville office. In 2015, he joined the commentary team, taking over for Mike Tenay. Most recently, he served as Senior Producer and Senior Director of Digital Media during his decade-long time with the company.
