Former WWE Tag Team Champion Reportedly Requests Release

Another person wants out of WWE.

It seems like every week now we hear the news of someone wanting their release from WWE. Back in December, we heard that Toni Storm asked for and was granted her release from WWE. Then last week Mustafa Ali went public about asking for his release, yet he did not get it. Now it is being reported that a former Tag Team and Cruiserweight Champion has asked for his release from WWE.

According to Mike Johnson from PWInsider, Johnson reports that Brian Kendrick has asked for his release from WWE. The interesting this is that Kendrick most recently had been working as a producer for WWE within NXT 2.0 and 205 live and asked for the release at least six weeks ago. Yet has not been at the tapings for some time while waiting for the release.

It is unclear why they are not using Kendrick as a producer yet at the same time not granting his release. The odd thing is if he asked for his release six weeks ago, then why did he not get released when others backstage in NXT were released recently.
