πππππππ πΌππππ: Former WWE Champion To Challenge For The ROH World Title
December 5, 2024An Indie God is coming to Ring Of Honor.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho hosted a segment he called the “New York Minute” and noted that on Ring of Honor television this week we will find out who will challenge him for the ROH World Title at Final Battle. With that the show was filmed last night and the challenger was revealed.
At Wednesday night’s Ring of Honor tapings, Matt Cardona made a surprise appearance where he confronted Chris Jericho and challenged him for the Ring of Honor World Championship at Final Battle on December 20th. Jericho had come out with Bryan Keith for a TV Time segment and noted how he wanted to face someone from New York in New York at Final Battle. He would list off names like Tony Soprano, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Rodz. That is when Cardona would come out. Jericho would go on to call him Zack and Cardona responded with “Zack is dead. The man who’s going to beat you at Final Battle is Matt Cardona.”

The two will now meet at Final Battle in the Hammerstein Ballroom but will not be the first time they two have shared the ring. While in WWE the two have shared the ring seven times both as partners and opponents. The only singles match they had was on a episode of Monday Night RAW in 2016 from the Barclays Center.
