Former WWE Champion Expected To Sign With IMPACT Wrestling

Just like they did in 2020 when WWE released a number of talent, in 2021 IMPACT Wrestling teased bringing some of them into the company. Now it looks like we know who a few of those that were recently released by WWE could be making their way to IMPACT.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reported that it appears that the former Braun Strowman and former Buddy Murphy will be making their way to IMPACT Wrestling. Murphy recently revealed that he will be going by the name Buddy Matthews going forward but we have not heard anything regarding Strowman and what name he will go by.
IMPACT Wrestling EVP Scott D’Amore did tease both men coming in this past week on a Twitch live stream while at a Blue Jays game. He stated but Buddy Murphy could have debuted this past Thursday on IMPACT and that they are on the road to “Braun For Glory,” a play on words for the upcoming Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

If both men are expected to be in soon then that could mean both will be factored into the upcoming Bound For Glory event next month from Las Vegas.
