A bad boy wants to be a pro wrestler.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer reports that former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz has been training at the WWE Performance Center. Meltzer states that he has been there this past week and wants to become a pro wrestler.

Meltzer stated that he heard good things about Ortiz’s work ethic and enthusiasm while he has been there all week.

“Tito Ortiz is training to be a professional wrestler at the WWE Performance Center as we speak. Maybe not at this moment but he was there all week. I heard great things about his work ethic, which doesn’t surprise me. His enthusiasm, which doesn’t surprise me in the least. The negative I see is Tito Ortiz is 45 years-old and he’s got a really bad neck.”

Tito Ortiz mainly fought his entire MMA career with the UFC. While in UFC Ortiz engaged in two of the most iconic rivalries in MMA history with Ken Shamrock and Chuck Liddel. Ortiz won the UFC Light Heavyweight Title once and successfully defended the title five times. Ortiz was more known for his non-title fight that one with the title on the line.

Ortiz has had some history with pro wrestling as he has made a few appearances for TNA back in 2005 and 2013. Neither time did he actually wrestle a match.
