Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion To Compete On 8/21 NJPW Strong

The Switchblade will make his way to Strong next week.

NJPW Strong is New Japan Pro Wrestling’s weekly Friday night show on their NJPW World streaming service. The show features mainly US-based wrestlers and others who can not wrestle currently in Japan. New Japan confirmed that a former IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion will be in action next Friday.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that The Switchblade Jay white will compete on the next edition of NJPW Strong. This will be White’s first match since March when he competed in an eight-man tag team match on the Manabu Nakanishi Retirement show.

Not only will the former Heavyweight champion be on this week’s show, but the show will also feature the finals of the New Japan Cup USA tournament. The finals will see KENTA take on David Finlay with the winner getting a future United States Title shot against Jon Moxley.
