Former IMPACT Wrestling Champion Backstage At Smackdown

Interesting name backstage after being at Bound For Glory days ago.

WWE is always looking to bring in names with a lot of experience to help the roster. They like to sign these experienced pro wrestlers as producers and we have seen a number come from IMPACT Wrestling. Most recently WWE signed the former Abyss and Sonjay Dutt as producers and now a former champion in IMPACT is being looked at for a producer role in the company.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that former X Division Champion Petey Williams is currently backstage today at Smackdown in Pennsylvania. Williams is there for a tryout as a producer within the company. Williams has experience as a producer working for IMPACT wrestling.

Williams actually just worked this past week for IMPACT Wrestling as they ran the Bound For Glory event and subsequent TV tapings. Williams worked as a producer for the company at the pay-per-view and television tapings.
