First Match Officially Announced For NXT TakeOver 36

WWE has announced a big title match for the next TakeOver.

Coming up on Sunday, August 22nd is NXT TakeOver 36. The show will come to us the night after SummerSlam and from the CWC in Orlando. We do know of one match taking place that was set during the recent NXT TV tapings, yet Thursday WWE officially announced a big title match taking place on the show.

Today during NXT UK, Triple H, William Regal, and Shawn Michaels announced that the highly anticipated rematch between WALTER and Ilija Dragunov for the NXT UK Title will take place in the United States. The match itself is the first match officially announced for NXT TakeOver 36. This match was supposed to happen recently on NXT UK, but due to WALTER suffering a hand injury recently the match had to be pushed back. It looks like WWE is confident that WALTER will be cleared in time for TakeOver at the end of August.
