EXCLUSIVE: Jay White Says He Is Leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling, Interest From Top US Company
January 5, 2021The Switchblade is leaving New Japan after tonight.
On night two of Wrestle Kingdom 15, we saw Jay White challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships. White was unsuccessful in his challenge and did not take the loss well.
After the show during an interview, White stated that after New Years Dash he is done. He is leaving Japan and that New Years Dash is the last day that he obligated to show up for the company. He stated if they want to make him work they can but after that “that’s it.”
Now we hear at PWUnlimited have been told that there is major interest in Jay White from WWE. We have been told that Triple H specifically is a big fan of his. We do not know what if any talks have taken place between White and WWE but there is a lot of interest to bring him into the company to start in NXT.
