EXCLUSIVE: COVID Causes Change To End Of Halloween Havoc

Halloween Havoc was supposed to end a little different.

Tonight was NXT Halloween Havoc and the show ended with Io Shirai winning a TLS match to retain the NXT Women’s Championships. Even though that was always the way the match would end, how the show was supposed to end was changed due to the latest COVID outbreak within the WWE Performance Center.

We have been told here at PWUnlimited that there was supposed to be a little something extra at the end of Halloween havoc. Io Shirai was always planned to retain the title but as she was celebrating at the end of the show a new debuting female superstar was going to come out and make it known that she was in NXT and coming straight for the NXT Women’s Championship. It was not told to us exactly who this female would have been but over the last few days, there have been talks of a few different women who look to be headed to WWE and could have fit into this spot.

It was stated to us by one source that with the latest COVID-19 outbreak within the NXT roster and PC trainees, the company told this person that they did not feel like bringing them in right now was the right move and their debut would be pushed back a little. As we learned earlier this week, last Friday WWE found out of multiple positive COVID tests within the WWE Performance Center and asked many people who tested negative and positive to quarantine for 14 days.

If we hear anything else on this debuting superstar, who it may be, and when they are now going to debut, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
