Edge Denies Signing New WWE Contract, Says He Doesn’t Know Where The Return Rumors Started
January 22, 2020Edge continues to deny he could be getting back in the ring.
Rumors have been going around for quite some time now that Edge was trying to get cleared to return to the ring. That Edge was looking to return to the WWE and that he could even return in time for the Royal Rumble. The rumors really ramped up after SummerSlam when Edge appeared and gave Elias a spear. One rumor even indicated that Edge was in Pittsburgh on “WWE Business” in October.
While speaking on Live On 4 Legs, Edge address these rumors stating,
“It’s kind of funny to me honestly. All of these rumors happening that I’ve been to Pittsburgh and ‘I’ve been cleared to wrestle again and I’ve signed a new contract. I have no idea where any of it came from. The last time I was in Pittsburgh, I had my wrist fused in 2013. I haven’t signed a contract. I think I would know. I get this tsunami of comments saying, You’re coming back. You signed a contract. I’m like, I really haven’t. Oh yeah, that’s what you’d say. Okay, whatever.”
Whether or not Edge has signed a new contract, of course, he is going to deny, deny, deny that way in his mind he is doing all he can to keep his return if there is one, as much or a secret as possible. We know Triple H recently was asked about these return rumors and all he said was he was a fan of Edge and would love to see it happen.
