Dusty Classic First Round Match Announced For Wednesday’s NXT

last week the participants and the brackets were announced for the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. When that was announced no details were given as far as when the tournament would start and when the finals would take place. Today they announced that the tournament itself will kick off this week live on NXT.
It was announced that Wednesday Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner will take ok the Forgotten Sons’ Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler to kick off the tag team tournament.
The 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will begin this Wednesday with NXT UK’s Imperium, represented by Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner, taking on The Forgotten Sons’ Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler.
Imperium is out to prove that their brand of wrestling is superior and show the world why the mat is sacred, while Blake & Cutler want to ensure that they are forgotten no more. Along with this match, we also know that Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, Damien Priest & Cameron Grimes will face off in a North American Championship number one contender match.
