Details On Jacob Fatu’s Non-Wrestling Injury
October 20, 2025We now know why Jacob Fatu will be missing time.
Last week it was reported that Jacob Fatu was going to sidelined with a non-wrestling injury. The initial report claimed he could be out for months, even well into 2026. We now know what is going on with the former United States Champion.
According to a new report from PWInsider, they report that Fatu is currently sidelined with a dental issue that required surgery. Fatu spitting out blood and teeth during the backstage attack angle on Smackdown now makes more sense. The good news from the PWInsider update is that Fatu may not be out as long as expected as Mike Johnson wrote,
“It’s now looking likely Fatu will be back by Survivor Series weekend,”
Fatu was originally planned to face Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st and be part of War Games later that month. With this new info we know Fatu will not be cleared in time for SNME, hence the backstage angle on Smackdown. Yet there does look like a chance he could be good to go for Survivor Series on November 29th.
If we do hear anything further on Jacob Fatu’s status after undergoing dental surgery, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
