Damian Priest said a situation that led to him not kicking out.

Back at the Money In The Bank premium live event Damian Priest was defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. During that match, there was a spot where Rollins went for a pin on Priest and the referee had to pull the three count as Priest did not kick out. It was not fully known other than Priest did not kick out and Priest himself has finally spoken on the situation.

While speaking with the New York Post, Damian Priest stated that this was not where he forgot to kick out but that “there was a situation” the led to him not kicking out after taking a Falcon Arrow from Rollins. He also noted that he “didn’t want to get into anything medical” and what happened was personal. McIntyre stated the following,

“The idea that I forgot to kick out, that’s not a thing. That’s not a thing. We don’t forget to kick out. Twenty years in, I’m pretty sure there is some kind of muscle memory there. So me forgetting was not the case. There was nothing outside that was supposed to happen. It was a matter of there was a situation, but I’m OK. Everybody’s fine, the story continues.

It doesn’t affect anything. The show goes on and I think fans are very invested in everything that’s going on. The ones that matter knew the situation and nobody thought twice about it. It was, move on.”

Priest said he can’t go backward and not he looks forward to to his title defense at SummerSlam against Gunther.
