Daga Close To Signing With A US Based Company
April 30, 2021Popular Mexican star in talks to wrestle more in the U.S.
Daga has wrestled primarily in Mexico for AAA but is also known for his runs in Lucha Underground and IMPACT Wrestling. Back in 2019 he was announced to have signed with MLW but was released from the company a few months later. Now it looks like he is in talks with a U.S. based company and close to a deal.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that Daga is close to a deal with a U.S. company but AAA believes he will continue to work for them but not for a little while. Daga recently vacated the AAA Latin America Title with no real reason given leading to many think he is heading to a company that will no longer allow him to work for AAA for the time being.
Meltzer also goes on to state that Daga is looking to get residency in the U.S. and must live in the US for six months with no travel to Mexico to make that happen. That is something Rey Fenix had to do in the last few years. That would be a main reason he would have had to drop the AAA Title since he would not be able to work for them for at least six months.Β At this time there is no word on who he could be in talks with. There are a few rumors going around today but none that have actually been confirmed.
If we do hear anything further regarding where Daga could show up in the United States, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
