Current WWE Superstar Announced For Joh Barnett’s Bloodsport X
March 15, 2024A queen is coming to Bloodsport.
Since 2018 GCW has run an event titled ‘Bloodsport’ which is a pro wrestling event but made to look more like real fights than anything else in pro wrestling. The first one ran in 2018 associated with Matt Riddle, but once Riddle went to WWE Josh Barnett took the mantle and now Barnett is coming up on his tenth Bloodsport. With that today a current WWE superstar was announced for Bloodsport X.
Josh Barnett revealed on Friday that former WWE Women’s Tag Team & NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler will compete at Bloodsport X on April 4th. He stated that the queen takes up the sword and marches to war. No opponent has yet been named for Baszler.
What does it mean when a Queen takes up the sword and marches to war?

This is actually some of a full circle moment for Baszler as when she got into pro wrestling in 2015, Barnett was one of her trainers, along with learning from Billy Robinson and Mercedes Martinez. As far as being a part of Bloodsport, Baszler stated on social media that as people adopted Bloodsport, she was born in it.

As far as Baszler being announced for the event as a current WWE Superstar, according to Fightul’s Sean Ross Sapp, he noted today that multiple WWE talent are scheduled to compete at Bloodsport. Now the question is what other WWE superstars will be announced for the show. One name fans have been mentioning since this news came out earlier today has been Julius Creed.
