Current WWE Champion Suffers Shoulder Injury

A current champion and top star is injured.

This past weekend we saw the AAA Guerra de Titanes show take place on Saturday night. The show featured many main roster stars, including multiple champions. With that, one current champion seemingly suffered an injury in the main event.

During the main event of the show, we saw Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano take on the team of Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix. While fighting his father in the middle of the ring, Dominik went for a Three Amigos and Rey countered the third into a DDT. Unfortunately, Dom landed on his shoulder, hence suffering the injury. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the injury to Dominik is legit, and he will be evaluated soon.

With WWE having filmed all of this week’s programming last week, no one is on the road and it is not like Dom can just get checked out tonight on RAW. It is unclear exactly when he will have his shoulder looked at. Until then, it is unknown how severe the injury may be.
