Current WWE Champion Injured, Upcoming Title Match Postponed
July 15, 2021WWE’s current most dominant champion is on the shelf.
Injuries happen all the time in wrestling and a lot of times when you least expect it and right before a big match. We saw last week that Bayley injured her ACL and had to be pulled from the Smackdown Women’s Title match at Money in the Bank. Now another title match can not take place as scheduled because this time the champion got injured.
Thursday afternoon WWE announced that current NXT UK Champion WALTER is injured and out of action. WWE revealed that WALTER suffered an injury to his left hand that has deemed him uncleared to compete. It is unknown how bad the injury is but this will postpone his upcoming title defense rematch with Ilja Dragunov.

Again WWE did not state how severe the injury to WALTER is and how long he is expected to be out of action. If we do hear anything else on WALTER’s injury and when the match with Dragunov will take place, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
