CM Punk Returning To The Ring Confirmed

It looks like Phill Brooks will once again lace up the boots.

Since the 2014 Royal Rumble, we have not seen much of CM Punk in professional wrestling. He left WWE and started training in MMA a few years later and ended up having two fights in the UFC. Now it looks like Punk will get back in a wrestling ring, but it is not what you think.

CM Punk recently had people talking after he stated that he was currently quarantining for a job. Many thought maybe he would be a surprise in the Royal Rumble, yet we have learned that is not even close to what is going on. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that Punk is slated the be on Starz pro wrestling series Heels. Punk has spent several weeks in Atlanta where filming on the Stephen Amell series had been taking place. Back in October filming had to be halted after Amell suffered a back injury.

Johnson states that as far as Punk’s Character, it could be a recurring character and he will indeed be wrestling.

Stephen Amell who is one of the creators and the star of this show actually confirmed Punk’s involvement today on Twitter stating that the two go into the ring together yetserday.

Stephen Amell and Alexandr Ludwig are set to star in the series as two pro wrestling brothers where one is a babyface and the other is a heel. Amell has been working on this project for several years not and we have not heard of any other top names wrestlers possibly appearing in the show.
