Change Made to Match On Tonight’s NXT

NXT Superstar pulled and replaced on tonight’s show.

Tonight on NXT the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles will be on the line when Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart against Aliyah and Jessi Kamea. Yet a change has been made to this tag team title match.

WWE has announced that Jessi Kamea has been removed from the tag team title match due to suffering an injury training for this match. Replacing Kamea will be Mercedez Martinez. WWE posted a video of Robert Stone approaching Martinez proposing her team with Aliyah.

Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon didn’t have to wait long for challengers to emerge courtesy of The Robert Stone Brand.

But with Jessi Kamea sidelined, they’ll face a curveball in their first title defense against Aliyah and Mercedes Martinez tonight on NXT.

One week after stunning Raquel González & Dakota Kai to capture the titles, Blackheart & Moon ran into Stone and company, who laid down the challenge. The champions didn’t hesitate to accept.

However, Kamea has suffered an injury, leaving Aliyah without a partner — until Robert Stone convinced Martinez to step in thanks to a special incentive.

WWE did not reveal what type of injury Kamea has suffered and how servere this said injury actually is.
