Carlito Confirms Current Status With WWE

Carlito open to more with WWE.

Back at the Royal Rumble, we saw the return of former US and IC Champion Carlito to a WWE ring in 10 years. The next night on RAW we saw him team with Jeff Hardy against Elias and Jaxson Ryker. It had also been reported that WWE was going to try Carlito out for a backstage producer role, but past the night after Royal Rumble we heard nothing else regarding Carlito and WWE.

While appearing on WhattaDay!, Carlito stated that right now he is open to doing whatever with WWE. He also stated that if an opportunity to go back to WWE comes up he is open. From that line there it makes one believe that at this time he is not with WWE and they must have passed on signing him in any type of role.

“As of now, I’m open to whatever kind of idea is out there. I’m on my own. If a great opportunity comes to go back to WWE, I’m just open to whatever comes my way,” 

Carlito was also asked about possibly going to AEW where he stated,

“Whatever great idea is out there, I’m willing to listen and see if I fit in.”

As of right now as stated it does look like Carlito was passed on by WWE and now he is right back to where he was pre-Royal Rumble, not signed to any company but willing to working with any company if the right opportunity arises.
