π½πππΌππππ ππππ: WrestleMania 42 No Longer Taking Place In New Orleans
May 22, 2025WWE is moving next years Mania.
It was announced earlier this year that WWE will host WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans. That would mark the third WrestleMania in the city since WrestleMania 30 in 2014. Yet the two night event is no longer taking place in NOLA.
According to a new report from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, they report that according to a statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, WrestleMania 42 is no longer taking place in the city even though it was announced this past February by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. New Orleans will get a future WrestleMania at an unspecified year.
Instead in 2026, the city will host the WWE Money In The Bank PLE. This also comes after UFC announced that UFC 318 will be taking place in New Orleans in July 19, 2025 and this all looks to be a bigger deal put together by the city and WWE’s parent company TKO Group Holdings.
A statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation reads,
βThe Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania β which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.β
At this time it is not known when New Orleans will get their WrestleMania and who will host Mania 42 next year in 2026. If we do hear anything further on any of these new developments, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
