Tony Khan is the new owner of ROH.

For weeks Tony Khan has been teasing a massive announcement to come. He said this announcement would change the wrestling business and many had their speculation on what it is. Khan wasted no time as he made his “massive” announcement at the start of tonight’s Dynamite.

Tony Khan kicked off tonight’s AEW Dynamite to make the announcement that as of today he is the new owner of Ring of Honor. Word of a sale of Ring of Honor goes back all the way to the end of 2019 and early 2020 with a log of different deals that were never made. Now a deal has been made regarding the company being sold.

As far as what Khan now owns Ring of Honor and what that means is not known. Outside of the announcement of the purchase Khan did not give any more details. In a press release, it was stated that Khan will wholly own the company and that means the video library, brand assets, and intellectual property. The press release does state that more details on the acquisition will be announced in the coming weeks.
