February 12, 2021 0 By Tim Jarrell

Someone is getting a Universal Title shot.

It was reported overnight that Roman Reigns would be defending the Universal Championship inside the Elimination Chamber on February 21st. Yet it was announced on Smackdown that Reigns will defend his title after the Chamber match.

Tonight on Friday Night Smackdown, Adam Pearce tried to tell Roman Reigns that he would be defending the Universal Title inside the chamber. Yet Paul Heyman said that was not going to happen per Reigns’ contract. He stated that Roman will defend the title at Elimination Chamber but not inside the Elimination Chamber. It was then announced that an Elimination Chamber match with Smackdown superstars will taker place with the winner immediately getting a shot at Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship after the match.

Pearce would then go on to state that tonight’s qualifying matches will take place to fill up the match, yet two men will not have to qualify. Pearce would then announced that both Jey Uso and Kevin Owens will be in the Elimination Chamber match and will not have to qualify to do so.

This is now the fourth match that has been announced for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
