BREAKING NEWS: Former Champion Works Dark Match Prior To Smackdown

Tonight is the first weekly WWE show on the road since March of 2020. With that WWE did a few dark matches before Smackdown went on the air and one consisted of a former WWE Tag Team Champion and third-generation wrestler.
Prior to Smackdown tonight, the fans live in the Toyota Center were treated to a tag team match where Davey Boy Smith Jr. teamed up with Austin Theory. This was a surprise to everyone as it was not known that Smith was in Houston today. Smith’s status with the company right now is not known. The last time we heard his name attached to WWE was that he could have worked for the NXT UK brand.
