BIG Update On Jeff Cobb To WWE & Retirement Tease

BIG Update On Jeff Cobb To WWE & Retirement Tease

May 1, 2025 Off By Tim Jarrell

Cob is WWE bound, not the beach.

Jeff Cobb worked his last match in New Japan Pro Wrestling on April 19th against Hiroshi Tanahashi. Word for some time is that he would be WWE bound and possibly soon. Then this week, Cobb sent out a tweet teasing retirement, but it looks like that is not the case.

Cobb sent out a tweet noting that he has been in pro wrestling for 16 years now, stating “Happy Retirement to me…” with a picture of him at the beach. Yet now it seems he may have sent that to deflect the news of him heading to WWE.

On the latest WrestleVotes Radio, JoeyVotes and TC talked about Cobb to WWE, noting that the plan is for him to start on the main roster. A factor in Cobb heading to either RAW or Smackdown instead of starting in NXT is because of his age. They also noted how his name has already started coming up in main roster creative discussions. As far as when Cobb could make his WWE debut is still unknown, but with he having to depart NJPW the way he did makes some think he could be in sooner rather than later.

If we do hear anything else regarding Jeff Cobb to WWE, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
