Big Update On Adam Cole WWE Status, Could He Appear For AEW This Week

Adam is the talk of the town right now.

Last month news came out that Adam Cole’s contract with WWE had expired and the company got him to sign an extension to remain with the company. Both the company and Cole wanted to see the program with Kyle O’Reilly finish, hence why Cole agreed to sign a short-term extension. Since we have heard that WWE has wanted to keep of course as far as he even having a meeting with Vince McMahon himself.

Many thought Cole’s contract was up this past weekend following NXT TakeOver 36 and then he can talk with other companies or re-sign with WWE if that is what he wants. Now we know a little more about that short-term extension he signed.

According to a new report from Fightful, they state that Adam Cole is not yet a free agent. Cole’s current deal does not expire till this Friday, August 27th. With his deal not coming up till the end of the week, that means he can not appear for AEW this week if he does plan on leaving WWE. He can not appear on Dynamite or Rampage since Rampage this week will be filmed Wednesday at the Dynamite tapings.

Again we do not know what Adam Cole is doing and Cole may not know as well. Since his deal is not up till Friday, that means he can not even start negotiating with other companies like AEW until this current WWE is up.

If we do hear anything else regarding Adam Cole and what his future holds, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
