Big Title Match Taking Place In Two Week On NXT
February 24, 2021NXT Women’s Title will be defended in two weeks.
Back at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day we saw a triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship. This match saw Io Shirai retain the championship but Toni Storm is not done in her pursuit of the NXT Women’s Championship.
Tonight on NXT after Shirai defeated Zoey Starks Toni Storm would come out. She stated that Io pinned Mercedes Martinez at Takeover and not her because Io could not beat her. Storm would go on to state that Io may not think to face her. Shirai would go on to state that she would face Toni any place any time. Storm told her to then go to William Regal and get that match made.
It was then announced later in the night that the two will meet in a singles match with the NXT Women’s Championship on the line in two weeks on March 10th.
Toni Storm is convinced Io Shirai can’t beat her one on one. Now she has the chance to prove herself right.
Storm will challenge Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship on NXT in two weeks on Wednesday, March 10.
Since practically the moment Storm arrived on the black-and-gold brand, she has been in hot pursuit of Shirai and her title. While she received an opportunity at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, she also had to contend with Mercedes Martinez in a Triple Threat Match, and The Genius of the Sky prevailed.
Continuing to provoke Shirai with trash talk, Storm enticed the champion to agree to another title defense, this time against only Storm.
Has Shirai made a mistake that will lead to the end of her title reign? Or will The Genius of the Sky once again be unsolvable?
