Big Match Announced For WrestleMania 36

February 28, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

Tonight on Smackdown a big-time WrestleMania match was announced.

WrestleMania is the biggest show of the year and the card is really starting to take shape with four matches now officially announced. Tonight one big singles match was announced at the end of Smackdown.

John Cena came to Smackdown tonight for the first time in over a year. He was in his hometown of Boston and really soaking up the reception he was getting from the crowd. Cena stated that it is WrestleMania season and everyone wants to know what he is doing at WrestleMania. He said that whatever he says he wants to do would most likely happen. Yet he knew it wasn’t about him anymore. He said it’s about the future and doing what is right for that future.

Cena would then go on to state that what he had to do was not be at WrestleMania this year. He said it was the right thing to do and was glad he could make this announcement in Boston in front of his friends and family. He then dropped the mic and walked out of the ring.

As Cena approached the top of the ramp, he faced the crowd to soak in the reaction he was receiving. That is when it happens, we heard the boom and the lights went out. When they came back on, the camera was still right in Cena’s face, but when it panned to the left there he was. The Fiend was standing behind Cena, but he did not attack Cena as he has done to everyone else he has snuck up on in the past. Instead, he would simply point to the WrestleMania sign and wait for a response. Cena without saying a word tipped his cap to The Fiend and accepted his challenge for WrestleMania.

When The Fiend first appeared the crowd gave him a great reaction. Then when Cena accepted his challenge they gave an even bigger reaction.

This was not the only match announced tonight for WrestleMania on Smackdown. It was also announced that Roman Reigns will challenge Goldberg for the Universal Championship.
