Big E Suffers Broken Neck On Smackdown After Scary Bump

Prayers go out to Big E for a full recovery.

Tonight on Friday Night Smackdown, the first match of the night saw Big e and Kofi Kingston take on the team of Sheamus and Ridge Holland. Sheamus and Holland had Butch, the former Pete Dunne in their corner and that match was actually going pretty well. Then towards the end, Big E took a belly-to-belly suplex on the outside from Holland and landed right on the top of his head. Kofi and Sheamus finished the match but medical personnel immediately went to check on Big E.

While the show was at commercial they ended up having to put Big E on a stretcher to bring him to the back. As they when bringing him around the ring and up the ramp he did give the crowd a thumbs up to indicate that he was alright, for the most part.

Then about an hour and a half later as Smackdown was ending, Big E himself posted a video on Twitter stating that he wanted to thank everyone for their messages and concerns. He showed that he can move all of his fingers and that his strength feels fine. Unfortunately, he would then say that he was told that his neck is broken but doesn’t want anyone to worry for him.

At this time it is too soon to tell how long this injury will keep for former WWE Champion out of action. It is good to hear that the injury is not worse than it actually is as like he said, he can move all of his digits. We will continue to follow this story and if we do hear anything further on Big E, we will have it for you here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
