Is WWE looking to combine the rosters?

At WrestleMania 38 we saw Roman Reigns defeat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE and Universal Championships. Coming up at Wrestlemania Backlash we will see a match between RK-Bro and The Usos to unify the RAW and Smackdown Tag Team Championships. With these titles getting unified many have thought this could lead to the end of the current brand split and now we have some info on the current status of the brand split.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, he noted that Roman Reigns is scheduled to headline WrestleMania Backlash. Meltzer stated that as of right now a program for him may not have been nailed down yet. As far as the rumored end of the brand split, he stated right now there are no plans to merge the two brands. At the time of the report, he said nobody has heard anything discussed in that direction.

This is not to say that after WrestleMania Backlash Vince can decide to merge the brand and the remaining title but as of right now that is not a plan that anyone has been told. If we do hear anything else regarding the current brand split, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
