Backstage News On Smackdown Tag Team Title Match Not Taking Place

The match was never supposed to happen.

Today at the WWE Elimination Chamber event we were supposed to see The Usos defend the Smackdown Tag Team Championships against The Viking Raider. Yet the match itself never actually took place. As The Viking Raiders were coming down for the match they were attacked by Jimmy and Jey Uso leading to the match not happening. Now we know that that was the actual plan.

According to a new report from Fightful, it was reported that the plan all along was for the match not to actually take place at all. Many asked if something else had gone long and this match was cut for time but that was not the case. The match was not cut for time, the match was never supposed to happen today.

As far as when the match will take place, the plan is for this match to take place on an upcoming episode of Smackdown. That is if nothing changes going forward.
