Backstage News On Kenny Omega’s Current AEW Deal

The Cleaner is not leaving any time soon.

2022 is the third year of All Elite Wrestling and when the company first started it was reported that most deals were three to five-year deals. We had thought Cody Rhodes signed a five-year deal, but now we have learned that was only a three-year deal. Cody has not left the company. We know The Young Bucks signed a three-year deal and has already signed a new deal, but a big name people have been asking about is Kenny Omega.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that Omega actually still has a year left on his AEW contract. Meltzer would go on to say that Omega’s deal actually expires on February 23, 2023. That would be one year longer than the other EVPs in the company as we know they had signed three-year deals.

As far as if Omega would want to leave the company as Rhodes did, Meltzer stated that how he feels right now is not known. He said Omega has been away dealing with several injuries and many have not spoken with him since he took his break.
