Backstage News On Chris Jericho’s Current AEW Status

Jericho still has years on his current deal.

Chris Jericho is considered an AEW original as he signed with the company in January of 2019 before they even had run a show of had a firm television deal. Many thought Jericho has a three-year deal and he did technically but there is more to it than that.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer, Meltzer stated that Jericho’s current deal with AEW runs till January of 2024. Meltzer would go on to say that Jericho signed a two-year contract extension as he had an option in his original deal the be picked up.

Out of all of the original signees with the company we have seen a number of them re-sign with the company. We know that The Young Bucks, Scorpio Sky, Frankie Kazarian, and even Britt Baker have all signed new deals with the company. Two people who are not sticking with the company as we have talked about a lot for the last day are Cody and Brandi Rhodes.
