Another Former NXT Champion Reportedly Signing With AEW

Over the last year, we have seen a number of former WWE and NXT Superstars sign with Adam Cole, Keith Lee, reDragon, Bryan Danielson, and more. Now it is being reported that another former NXT Superstar and former NXT North American Champion is expected to sign with All Elite Wrestling.
According to a new report from Fightful, they report that Shane “Swerve” Strickland, the former Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, is expected to sign with AEW. The report states that since January, many have been operating on the assumption of the deal going forward. It also is said that the deal is expected to start this week. He was someone they inquired about him very early after he was released by WWE.
The report also goes on to say that the company views Strickland as a potential crossover star. Crossover as far as possible working other shows for WarnerMedia or something else in the entertainment industry. Swerve is someone that since being released by WWE has had interest from everyone. He is booked for multiple indie shows on the west coast, GCW, and even Ring Of Honor when they come back with their reboot.
