Another 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Inductee Announced
March 15, 2020WWE has announced the fifth act into the hall of fame this year.
This year WWE has had a controversial lineup for the hall of fame class with the fans. So far they have announced Dave Batista, The nWo(Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman), The Bellas Twins and John “Bradshaw” Layfield with fans not like the choices of the Bellas and JBL. Yet fans will be happy with the latest announcement.
First announced by Tokyo Sports, they confirm earlier reports that Jushin “Thunder” Liger will be going into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year. Liger will be the third Japanese talent to be inducted by WWE. Previously they had inducted Antonio Inoki and Shinji Funjinami.
Liger retired from active competition at the start of 2020 with his final match over the two night WrestleKingdom 14 event. The following night New Japan Pro Wrestling held a grate retirement ceremony for Liger.
Liger has not worked much for WWE as his sole WWE match came against TylerBreeze at NXTTakeover Brooklyn in 2015. Liger also worked off and on for WCW in their Cruiserweight division. Liger had one sting from 1991-1992 and another with WCW from 1995-1999 off and on.
As of right now all WWE WrestleMania weekend events including the 2020 Hall Of Fame induction ceremony are still not canceled so we are unsure how that will actually be this year.
We want to congratulate Liger on this honor after having such a great career and being considered one of the greatest light heavyweight wrestlers of all time.
