November 10, 2020 735 By Tim Jarrell

AEW announced three games with one coming soon.

Tonight All elite Wrestling unveiled the plans for their AEW Games division and announced a few different projects. They announced so far in the works is a console video game and two mobile games.

First of Kenny Omega announced that they have partnered with game developer Yukes to create a console game for both current and next gen consoles. No Actual details were given for the game other than it will be something like a cross of No Mercy and Virtual Pro Wrestling N64 games. The big thing with this game and it being related to the WWF No Mercy game is that they have gotten Hideyuki “Geta” Iwashita on the team. Geta is best known for being the director of the No Mercy game.

The interesting thing about Yukes making this game for AEW is that they have worked on the WWE games for the past few decades. They left the team last year after having creative differences with both WWE and 2K stating that they had their own game engine in development and wanted to create their own wrestling video game.

Also AEW referee Aubrey Edwards announced a mobile game coming in 2021 called “AEW Elite General Manager” and this game is set to be a play on the General Manager mode of all WWE games but this looks to have some sort of a multiplayer aspect to it. No release date was given other than it is scheduled to launch in 2021.

Developed by Crystallized Games, AEW Elite GM is the evolution of the GM simulator genre, taking the strategic elements of simulation and fantasy games to create a competitive and engaging space for the wrestling community to take part in. By incorporating the expanding AEW brand, AEW Elite GM serves as a celebration of wrestling as a whole. Fans take on the role of General Manager, who is responsible for managing a roster of AEW wrestlers, booking matches, and running the show in order to generate revenue, new fans and effects on wrestlers’ stamina and morale.

Coming soon to all Android and iOS devices.
