AEW Wrestler Told “Budget Cuts” As Why Their Contract Is Not Getting Renewed

A large roster and budget cuts are leading to AEW wrestlers being let go.

Going into 2022 it was being talked about that the number of original wrestlers signed to AEW will have their contracts come up in 2022. We know of some who signed new deals and some who will not be. It is now being reported that one who is not being re-signed was told that was due to budget cuts.

According to a new report from Fightful, they are reporting that Marko Stunt was informed by Christopher Daniels last week that AEW would not be renewing his contract. The report states that Daniels told Stunt that the reason he was not being kept in AEW was due to budget cuts and a large roster. Stunt has actually not appeared for AEW in six months.

The report also stated that Daniels mention to Stunt how plans for Jurassic Express changed. Stunt was the 3rd man and somewhat manager figure for the current AEW World Tag Team Champions.

If we do hear anything else on AEW telling people their contracts are not being renewed due to budget cuts, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
