AEW Tag Team Becomes #1 Contenders For IMPACT Tag Titles

Tonight an AEW tag team earned a shot at the IMPACT tag titles.

Tonight on IMPACT Wrestling the current tag team champion The Good Brothers came out talking about being the champions when they were interrupted by Chris Sabin. Sabin said that The Motor City Machine Guns were never pinned to lose the titles and he should get a shot at the titles next. He would then go on to state that since Alex Shelley is not here he has another friend with him and out would come James Storm.

As Storm and Sabin were in the ring trying to talk their way into a shot at the IMPACT Tag Team Titles out would come AEW’s Matt Hardy and Private Party. Hardy stated that he was here to get his guys a warm-up match before Dynamite tomorrow night. Hardy thought fighting for the IMPACT Tag Title, which he and his brother Jeff never lost, would be a good match and The Good Brothers said no. Then it was proposed that Private Party face Sabin and Storm with the winners becoming the number one contenders. The match was set for the show’s main event.

In the main event of the show, Private Party with Matt Hardy took on Chris Sabin and James Storm as AEW President Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn also watched from ringside. In the end, Jerry Lynn got out of his seat and held the leg of Chris Sabin as he was up on the top rope. Private Party then hit their Gin and Juice finisher on Chris Sabin and picked up the win.

With this victory, Private Party has earned themselves a future shot at the IMPACT Tag Team Champions and a match with The Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.
