AEW Reportedly Signs Massive Free Agent

AEW has made one of their best signings to date.

Over the last year, All Elite Wrestling has compiled a really good roster with veterans you have heard of and a number of young talent that they can harvest into something good. Now it looks like AEW has made one of their best signings thus far outside of The Elite & Chris Jericho.

According to a report from SoCalUncensored, they report that AEW has signed former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Brian Cage. At this time it is not known when Cage will start for the company but it was said to be soon.

It was stated that when Cage’s contract expired with IMPACT he had three deals on the table. One to stay with IMPACT, one from AEW and also one from Ring Of Honor. It is to note that ROH had the biggest money offer of the three and Cage went with AEW who has the bigger reach and exposure.

AEW wanting to work with Cage goes all the way back to the start of the company and their first show Double or Nothing. They wanted Cage to compete in the Casino Battle Royale but IMPACT Wrestling official Don Callis nixed it from happening not wanting his World Champion at the time in a battle royal where he would just be randomly eliminated.

Cage did work tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling Hard To Kill pay-per-view and we don’t know if this was his last date with the company, but the timing of this news coming out does lead one to believe it most likely was.

Whether he debuts this week at Bash at the Beach, next week on the Jericho Cruise or after, it will be very interesting to see how they use Brian Cage as he is unlike anyone they have so far.
