AEW Reportedly Considering An O-Screen Authority Figure

AEW looking to try and make more things make sense on TV.

When you are watching pro wrestling and matches are randomly taking place or people do things and there is no one to reprimand them this gets muddled down. You need an authority figure, face or heel, to be there to make it seem like there is someone running the place and the wrestlers are not just out here doing whatever they want.

According to WrestleVotes, they report that AEW is considering adding an on-screen authority figure.

Rare non-WWE drop: I regularly talk to someone in the wrestling business, not directly tied to WWE… AEW is considering adding a commissioner type figure to TV. Name to watch is Tazz, who recently finished up w/ his CBS Radio job. Not sure it happens but interesting nonetheless.

Taz has already been announced for next week’s AEW Dynamite. No details were given other then Taz is making a guest appearance on the show. Taz is only an assumption and WrestleVotes is not saying Taz is the one they are going with. It is possible but locked in. Maybe they can pick another legend associated with the company like DDP, Billy Gunn or even Dustin Rhodes.
