AEW Pulls Rick Starks From Upcoming GCW Show

AEW did like recent comment Effy made about them.

Ricky starks has not been seen on television since March with AEW. In that time he has made two inside appearances. One for Big Tim Wrestling and the other this past weekend for Gamechanger Wrestling. Starks had been announced for an upcoming GCW show, yet it is being reported that AEW has pulled him from working GCW.

GCW put out a tweet tonight informing fans that Ricky Starks has been pulled from the December 14 and 28 shows as well as the January 19 show from the Hammerstein Ballroom. Fightful is now reporting that AEW was the ones who pulled Starks from the show.

According to a new report from Fightful, they are reporting that GCW sources claim that Ricky Starks has been pulled from all planned upcoming appearances with the company by AEW. The decision was made on November 26 and relayed to Starks. It notes how AEW took exception to comments made by Effy bringing up Shad Khan on a recent podcast in regards to AEW running the Hammerstein Ballroom. He noted Shad is effectively paying Tony Khan to stay away. To hear the comments Effy made about AEW you can hear them in the tweet below.

Fightful’s report would also note how AEW will let Stakrs take indie booking for other companies but he is just not allowed to work for GCW at this time. Basically, they are not interested in paying Starks to wrestle for GCW. Some in AEW even suggested turning his GCW appearances into a work, but that will not be the case.

If we do her anything further on Ricky Starks being pulled from his upcoming GCW appearances, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
