AEW Officially Announces Signing Of Popular Wrestler

July 22, 2021 0 By Tim Jarrell

AEW has signed a top female wrestler.

The roster in All Elite Wrestling is always growing by the week. Some say they may have more members on their roster that they know what to do with. We see then try to use as many on TV each week as possible and it looks like one wrestler who already has been working for the company has not been officially signed.

AEW announced on Thursday that they have officially signed former NWA Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa. Thunder Rosa has had a number of matches in AEW over the last year including a great unsanctioned match with Britt Baker earlier this year. Thunder Rosa was previously signed with the NWA and even appeared last weekend at IMPACT’s Slammiversary event to face Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockout Championship.

As far as how Thunder Rosa was able to sign with AEW despite being under contract to the NWA, Fightful reports that Tony Khan actually bought out the remainder of her contract. In doing so they were able to sign her and announce it on her birthday. Thunder Rosa has also lent her services to AEW for Spanish commentary in the past and it was also announced Wednesday night that Thunder Rosa was placed on AEW’s new community outreach team.

If we do hear anything else on Thunder Rosa officially signing with AEW as well as working with the company in non-wrestling roles as well, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
