AEW Grand Slam Australia Can’t Air When & Where They Announced

January 16, 2025 Off By Tim Jarrell

The NBA is bigger than AEW.

On February 15 All Elite Wrestling will be going to Australia for Grand Slam. For months we did not know how we would be able to watch the show. Last night after Toni Storm became the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship that info was revealed on the graphic. Yet what they revealed seemingly can not happen.

AEW revealed that Grand Slam Australia will air on Saturday, February 15 at 8/7C on both TNT and MAX. Yet that can not happen as that is the same night as the NBA All-Star Saturday Night. On the NBA website they list that event also taking place at 8 ET and airing on TNT. So the big question is who is really getting the time slot?

When it comes to AEW or the NBA getting this time slot it is a no-brainer that it would go to the NBA. All-Star Saturday Night is one of the biggest ratings night of the year for TNT. Last year in 2024, this event averaged 4.6 million viewers with the show peaking at 5.4 million viewers for the Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ionescu faced off in the Steph vs. Sabrina Shootout.

If we do hear anything further on the broadcast plan for Grand Slam Australia, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
