Wrestler Pulled From Tonight’s Dynamite Due To COVID, Changes Made To Eliminator Tournament

One wrestler in the eliminator tournament has been pulled from tonight’s show.

Tonight kicks off the AEW Eliminator Tournament with the winner earning a world title shot in the future. Yet one wrestler in the tournament has been pulled from tonight’s show and replaced in the tournament due to concerns over COVID-19.

Earlier today AJ Gray announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Gray wrestled this past weekend on the GCW The Last Resort event and took on Joey Janela. With that AEW has pulled Janela from tonight’s AEW Dynamite. It was not stated that Janela himself tested positive for COVID but because he recently wrestled someone who now has it he was pulled due to precautions. As we know you can test negative for five days after getting it and it is in your system. With Janela off tonight’s show, he is out of the eliminator tournament and being replaced by his tag team partner Sonny Kiss against Kenny Omega.

Tonight kicks off the first round of the AEW Eliminator Tournament with four matches taking place tonight. If we hear anything else regarding Janela being pulled from tonight’s Dynamite, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
