Second Championship Match Set For Friday’s Smackdown

Second Championship Match Set For Friday’s Smackdown

October 15, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

Two teams drafted to Smackdown will clash.

This coming Friday will be the season premiere of Friday Night Smackdown. Already a few matches have been announced including Roman Reigns defending the Universal Title against Braun Strowman. Today WWE announced another title match for Smackdown.

It has officially been announced that the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions in The Street Profits will defend the titles against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. This will actually be the second title match for Ziggler and Roode this week after unsuccessfully challenging The New Day on RAW for the tag titles.

The Street Profits are bringing ALL THE SMOKE to Friday nights and wasting no time in defending their title.

Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins will take on Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode in a SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match on the FOX season premiere. The challengers fell short in their bid to take the Raw Tag Team Titles from The New Day in their red-brand finale. The Street Profits put together an impressive run as the Raw Tag Team Champions and swapped titles with The New Day before heading to SmackDown.

Will Ford & Dawkins be raising red solo cups to toast their blue-brand debut? Or will Ziggler & Roode spoil the party with a victory?

Along with this match, three other matches have officially been announced for Friday’s Smackdown.

Universal Championship
Roman Reigns(c) vs Braun Strowman

New Day’s Smackdown Farewell
The New Day vs Sheamus, Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura

Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Street Profits(c) vs Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

Jeff Hardy vs Lars Sullivan
