Sammy Guevara is taking a break from social media and his vlogs.

On Monday video resurfaced of a podcast Sammy Guevara was on where he made some lude comments about WWE Superstar Sasha Banks. Guevara did reach out and speak to Banks on the comments. after the comments resurfaced, All Elite Wrestling suspended the 26-year-old wrestler as well.

Today Guevara posted a video to his Youtube channel entitled “I’m sorry” talking about how he has changed in the last four years and would never say things like that in 2020.

“There’s gonna be no Vlog today and for a while. I’m gonna take a hiatus from social media in general. I want to apologize to anybody I let down, to Sasha, to anybody I hurt with my words. It sucks because 2016 me, is not me today. 2020 me would never say those kind of hurtful things that I said in 2016. I used to think it was funny to do some kind of shock humor to pop the room, but it’s not funny. A lot has happened in four years of my life, a lot of people think four years isn’t a lot of time, but if you look at what has happened to me, from wrestling in the middle of nowhere in Texas to wrestling all around the world, in different countries, and television, so much has happened in four years. One of the things that’s happened is me growing as a person. I understand now that the words I say can impact people more than I’ll ever understand. They can hurt people more than I’ll ever realize. That’s why you won’t catch me saying these hurtful things now in 2020. 2016 was a different me. That’s not an excuse, I still said those things and I’ll pay for those things, but that’s not me. In these four years, I’ve grown as a person and have become better.
